THE MERRION HOTEL - RTÉ - THE UNICORN
The Gate Theatre has a unique association with Harold Pinter, having presented three festivals of his work, all of which Pinter himself participated in. The Gate, in partnership with the Dublin Theatre Festival, marks his 75th birthday (10th October) with a celebration that includes productions of Old Times and Betrayal and The Pinter Landscape: a series of events on the weekend of the 7th October in which a host of well-known actors associated with his work take part.
Time is reversed in a skilful variation on the eternal triangle but behind the intimate study of sexual infidelity lurks an affinity of betrayals: of friendship, art and the integrity of self.
