PROGRAMME DETAILS
by George Bernard Shaw
In Pygmalion, the cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle (Dawn Bradfield) is taken in hand by accent and pronunciation expert Professor Higgins (Stephen Brennan), who attempts to transform her speech and manners in order to pass her off as a lady in genteel society. However, class lines begin to blur and the Professor gets more than he originally bargained for as the feisty flower girl begins to blossom and learns how to voice her independence to the dismay of her misogynistic mentor.
